Third-person Shooter Games

A third-person shooter game has gameplay in which the player’s character, who is also the protagonist, can be seen on the screen in a third-person view. The view of the third-person shooter is such that the camera is placed right above and behind the player, aiming downwards towards the player.

The player controls the character in the game and the actions performed by the shooter such as jumping, crawling, fighting are features that are merely the same as in a first-person shooter game. An additional feature that is found in almost all third-person shooter games is the aim assist feature which helps you to aim precisely.

Although in many ways, a third-person shooter game is quite similar to first-person shooter games, however, the two belong to different genres.  As a third-person shooter, the player is closely connected to the surrounding environment. This, in turn, helps the character to interact with the elements of the gaming world in a more realistic manner and also makes actions such as running, jumping, or handling obstacles very easy.

Some of the third-person shooting games such as Halo: Combat Evolved also have an additional feature of switching the gaming mode to the first person which helps the player in aiming precisely. The issues with aiming in these games rarely provide obstacles since these titles are designed to have an enormously spacious environment compensating for the view perspective.
